How to Use

How to use face oil: the post-shower ritual

The best moment for a face oil is the one right after your shower. Skin is warm, freshly cleansed and still slightly damp. A few drops pressed in now help seal in moisture and leave skin feeling soft, with a satin finish rather than a shine.

It takes less than a minute. It is also the one quiet minute of the day that is entirely yours.

A Daily Ritual

Four steps, one quiet minute

  1. Warm

While skin is still slightly damp, place 2 to 3 drops of Amitra in your palm and warm them between your hands.

  2. Inhale

Bring your palms toward your face and breathe in slowly. Jasmine, rose, saffron and bergamot rise with the warmth.

  3. Press

Press your palms gently into your face, then your neck and décolleté. Pressing, rather than rubbing, lets the oil settle evenly.

  4. Repeat

Use morning and evening, after the shower for best absorption.

Why after the shower

Warm, damp skin takes oil more evenly than dry skin. The oil also helps hold that moisture in, which is why skin feels softer than it would with oil alone on dry skin.

Where it fits in your routine

Amitra is your final skincare step. If you use a serum or moisturizer, apply those first and finish with the oil. In the morning, apply sunscreen after the oil.

How much to use

2 to 3 drops is enough for face, neck and décolleté, the same amount printed on the box.

Before your first use

Amitra contains sweet almond (tree nut) and sesame oils. Patch test on the inner arm before first use. For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes, and discontinue use if irritation occurs.
